Having been a Jaguar enthusiast for more than 65 years I was trying to find a low mileage classic Jaguar to enjoy while I could still drive. I found such a car in Japan. I had no idea how to go about having it thoroughly inspected to ensure it was genuinely as reported. Even less how to securely purchase the vehicle. Have it removed from the Japanese register. Complete export documentation and shipping. Arrange for import to NZ or the procedure to have it registered, WOF etc ready to legally drive here. Here the wonderful team at Autoport.nz took over. I love my little Vitz, it even has paddles! It’s never missed a beat, is good on fuel and looks great. I’m retired so wasn’t 100% sure about using an internet site to buy a car, but talking to David and getting to know all the checks they do and them doing to price haggle made it easy for me. We weren’t sure about buying a near new car from the UK as we didn’t like the idea of sending a lot of cash overseas and we didn’t know about claiming VAT. Autoport managed all that.
