I've now imported two cars via Autoport, both PHEVs, and I am happy to report that on both occasions I found the process to be seamless. Each time their team took care of everything from pre-purchase inspection in Japan to compliance and vinning in NZ, providing email updates along the way - the only hard part was waiting for my vehicles to arrive! The only paperwork on my end was applying to NZTA for the Clean Car Rebate. We weren’t sure about buying a near new car from the UK as we didn’t like the idea of sending a lot of cash overseas and we didn’t know about claiming VAT. Autoport managed all that. The car had just 500 miles on the clock, was highly spec’d and the savings were very, very significant! I love my little Vitz, it even has paddles! It’s never missed a beat, is good on fuel and looks great. I’m retired so wasn’t 100% sure about using an internet site to buy a car, but talking to David and getting to know all the checks they do and them doing to price haggle made it easy for me. I couldn’t believe how good the car was when it turned up. When I buy another car I’ll use Autoport.
