I had never purchased a vehicle on-line before, so I was apprehensive about how it all worked. I need not have worried, Autoport was obviously experienced as they answered all my questions reassuringly and allayed my fears by explaining the process clearly to me. They informed me of progress as it happened, the clearance, the loading, the transporting, even the whereabouts of the ship and its ports of call. Whatever paper work was required of them, they informed me, asked me in a timely fashion for my documents. I never felt under pressure and was impressed with their efficiency. I was even met at the airport and taken to their depot where again, all the paperwork was completed, and the car was mine! But it didn't stop there. I can't read Japanese. However, my queries about how something worked on the dashboard were patiently explained. The car is going well! I would not hesitate to recommend this company, and method of purchasing, to anyone. And I am really enjoying the car.

Stop reading - call them up and have a chat. Communication was faultless and we were in good hands throughout. The car's been stripped down, inspected for hidden damage, and arrived on our driveway without a scratch. First of its model registered in NZ - no dramas. Old man almost cracked a smile. Now if only he'd drive it instead of looking at it all day.

I've now imported two cars via Autoport, both PHEVs, and I am happy to report that on both occasions I found the process to be seamless. Each time their team took care of everything from pre-purchase inspection in Japan to compliance and vinning in NZ, providing email updates along the way - the only hard part was waiting for my vehicles to arrive! The only paperwork on my end was applying to NZTA for the Clean Car Rebate. Having been a Jaguar enthusiast for more than 65 years I was trying to find a low mileage classic Jaguar to enjoy while I could still drive. I found such a car in Japan. I had no idea how to go about having it thoroughly inspected to ensure it was genuinely as reported. Even less how to securely purchase the vehicle. Have it removed from the Japanese register. Complete export documentation and shipping. Arrange for import to NZ or the procedure to have it registered, WOF etc ready to legally drive here. Here the wonderful team at Autoport.nz took over. The thought of importing a car was something my wife and I have thought about in the past, but it fell into the too hard basket and we had no idea where to start, that was until a friend introduced me to Autoport. Autoport had 1000’s of cars to choose from and we found a late model car with much lower km’s and price than we could find from any dealer here in NZ and they took care of absolutely everything. We were a little apprehensive during the 6 week wait for the car to arrive but we needn’t have been as Autoport kept us up to date every step of the way and when the car arrived it exceeded our expectations and had been valeted to a near new look. We weren’t sure about buying a near new car from the UK as we didn’t like the idea of sending a lot of cash overseas and we didn’t know about claiming VAT. Autoport managed all that. The car had just 500 miles on the clock, was highly spec’d and the savings were very, very significant! Totally comfortable and totally trustworthy service and I like we got the right car direct from the source but dealt with a local NZ company. Very happy thanks for the great deal.

I love my little Vitz, it even has paddles! It’s never missed a beat, is good on fuel and looks great. We’re a retired couple and needed a reliable car at the right price. Dealing with a NZ company who handles everything took the hassle away.
