I had a great experience buying through Autoport. After I had selected a vehicle in Japan the Autoport team swung into gear and their Japanese agent checked the vehicle out at the car lot. I wanted to make sure it was accident free, the mileage was as indicated and the car was in good condition for its age. After making sure all was Ok I entered into a purchase agreement and the deposit was paid. From that point on the purchase was without any hassles. When the car arrived at the Japanese departure dock it was checked out by Autoport's accredited agents to meet NZ Government entry requirements. It passed with flying colours and was then on the boat to NZ. On arrival in NZ all the compliance details were handled professionally by Autoport and then the balance of the purchase was paid. After registration was completed the car was ready for pickup. At all stages of the purchase I was kept fully informed by Autoport's friendly staff, Daniel and Carlene. I need not have worried, Autoport was obviously experienced as they answered all my questions reassuringly and allayed my fears by explaining the process clearly to me. The price was more than reasonable. So, my wife and decided to go for it. I contacted Autoport.nz. A very helpful and nice person named Daniel contacted me and told me how to go about purchasing a car from them. I paid the initial ten percent deposit of the car’s price. Then the car was checked thoroughly, first in Japan, after shipping it to NZ it was once again checked here. When my wife and I arrived in NZ in July 2021 the car was very nicely groomed and waiting for me, as agreed with Daniel and Natalie (another nice and supportive person of Autoport.nz). So, all up, I like the car, I like the way I was treated as a customer and there’s nothing I could complain about. In fact, our younger daughter is currently in the process of getting three cars from Autoport.NZ, one for her husband, one for her daughter, and one for herself. I love my little Vitz, it even has paddles! It’s never missed a beat, is good on fuel and looks great. I’m retired so wasn’t 100% sure about using an internet site to buy a car, but talking to David and getting to know all the checks they do and them doing to price haggle made it easy for me. I couldn’t believe how good the car was when it turned up. When I buy another car I’ll use Autoport.

That was so easy, absolutely zero stress. I got exactly what I wanted and saved a lot of money and time. Ryan kept me informed all the way of where the car was at, when it arrived in NZ and when it would be ready to collect. I was happy the price even included breakdown insurance, rego and petrol so when I picked it up there was nothing more to pay, just ready to go. Thanks I’ll buy from you again.

We’re a retired couple and needed a reliable car at the right price. Dealing with a NZ company who handles everything took the hassle away. We didn’t have to worry about haggling with anyone over the price or getting pushed into buying extras and the price we ended up paying was much better than local prices.
