I've Found a Car I Want. Now What?

So you've found a car listed on the site and you want to buy it. The first thing to establish - is it from a local NZ supplier or an overseas supplier. How do you tell?

All local suppliers have their contact details displayed including phone numbers and a map of their location as well as having the NZ flag showing on the listing. You can contact the seller directly or use the Enquire Now button to send the seller an email. Once you have established contact with the seller, you deal directly with them on all aspects of the purchase.

If the car is displaying a flag from Japan or the UK then, obviously, it's an international seller. The price you see is the Drive-Away price in NZ dollars that you will pay (excluding any CVS fee if applicable). The process is very easy, as you will see from some of the Testimonials we have received as we handle everything. As Autoport is a Registered Motor Vehicle Trader you are protected by the Consumer Guarantees Act and other NZ regulations.

Once you are ready to go and proceed with the purchase, the process is as follows:

1. Click the Buy Now button and Confirm your Buy Now when prompted (you will receive a confirmation email once this has been done). If you have not already created an Autoport account you will be asked to do so before confirming the Buy Now.
2. Once we receive your Buy Now confirmation, you will be sent an invoice, with only the deposit shown due straight away to start the process. The balance is due prior to picking up your car in NZ once it is ready.
3. Upon receiving confirmation that the deposit has been paid, we set about checking that the car is still available and that it meets the quality we expect of it based upon the information showing on the website.
4. Once satisfied with the quality and availability of the vehicle shipping to NZ, compliance, registration and grooming are all then handled by us so that we can have your car ready for pickup.
5. Once the balance of the invoice has been paid your car will be ready for collection from Autoport in Ellerslie, Auckland. We can also arrange to have it delivered to you anywhere in NZ.
